2019 Manzone Langhe Rosso 'Ardi'

The recently arrived 2018 Paolo Manzone Langhe Rosso 'Ardi'. A blend of Barbera and Dolcetto of which a portion spends some time in French oak. It is so bright and punchy, with highly perfumed red fruit notes mixing it up with rose petals. The palate is utterly delicious, energetic and fruity with floral nuance. It has flesh and crunch and finishes with an uptick of sour cherry crispness.

Paolo Manzone is a roll, having just received Tre Bicchieri from Gambero Rosso for his Barolo Riserva and an outstanding article in Forbes magazine. JH 2020
