2014 Frank Balthazar Cornas 'Chaillot'

Youthful purple. A complex, expansive bouquet evokes dark berries, incense and smoky Indian spices. Appealingly sweet blackberry, blueberry and floral pastille flavors show very good depth and definition and pick up a minerally quality with aeration. Shows outstanding clarity and lift on the gently tannic, very persistent finish, which features notes of sweet blue fruit and candied violet. 93 points. Josh Raynolds.
