1974 Produttori Barbaresco

When first opened, there was some mushroomy action from on the nose. After an 8 hour decant, the 1974 Produttori del Barbaresco Barbaresco was singing. It had some curry leaf and Indian spice perfume. The fruit was ripe, showing a raisin quality. There were notes of chocolate and tar too. It was sweet and vinous in the mouth, with good authority and tart cherry crunch to the finish. JH 2016
